π Autumn Arrival: Somatic Grounding & Soundbath
π Tuesday 30th September
π° 7.30β9.00pm
π Β£20
[Bring your own mat, blanket and water bottle]
I lovingly invite you to join me in a space of calm and ease on the last Wednesday of each month, 7:30β8:45pm, for a deeply relaxing sound bath. Youβll be βbathedβ in soothing sound waves from tibetan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums, chimes, and other healing instruments, guiding your mind and body into a deep state of rest.
As the wheel of the year turns and summer begins to soften into autumn, we are invited to pause.
To take a breath.
To notice what this season has grown within us.
Autumn is traditionally a time of harvest β a time to gather the fruits of all that has been planted, tended and nurtured.
Perhaps this year has brought growth, change, challenges, new ideas or projects. Perhaps some seeds have blossomed in ways you hoped for, while others are still quietly finding their way. This is an invitation to gather it all in.
To acknowledge what you have created, what you have learned and what you are ready to carry with you into the next season.
Join me for a nourishing evening of gentle somatic practice, breathwork and sound as we consciously transition into the slower, more inward energy of autumn.
Together, we will begin with a short reflection on the themes of the season, before using gentle movement and breath to help ground the body and settle the mind.
Through simple tense and release practices, we will give the body an opportunity to let go of held tension and arrive more fully in the present moment.
You will then be invited to lie back, rest and be immersed in a deeply relaxing soundscape, allowing the vibrations and sounds to support you in slowing down, softening and integrating all that this year has brought so far.
A space to pause at the threshold of a new season. To gather your harvest. To honour how far you have come. And to gently release what you no longer need to carry.
Come as you are, and allow yourself to arrive.
Important:
What to bring: -a bottle of water, ultra-comfy clothes, a yoga mat, a blanket and pillow - as I am pregnant now setting up is becoming harder for me now so I would love and appreciate it if you could bring your own things to the session. I will have spares if you forget, but this would make my life so much easier :) thankyou
Extra info:
With my background as a yoga and wellbeing practitioner I have found it hugely beneficial to include somatic movement in before the soundbath, to help settle, and ground a busy mind and body.
If we look at the science behind soundbaths - the soundwaves trigger a relaxation response in your body bringing you into the parasympathetic nervous system by changing your brainwaves from beta to alpha/theta leaving you feeling calm, sleepy and grounded.
Benefits may include:
π Reduced stress & anxiety
π Deeper relaxation & improved sleep
π Better mood & focus
π Relief from tension & fatigue
β¨ Just lie back, rest, and receive the sounds.
Energy exchange: Β£20
Time: 19:3-9pm
Important information to note: Soundbaths are not recommended if youβre in the first trimester of pregnancy, have sound-induced epilepsy, or severe mental health challenges.
